ESF seeks to enhance the
teaching of Esperanto and its use for educational purposes.
To this end, we support the development and evaluation of innovative
educational materials and programs. We also provide direction
and financial support to the North American Summer
Esperanto Institute (NASK).
ESF's educational agenda is
defined and realized in collaboration with other groups
and organizations. Since the first ESF-sponsored
colloquium on Esperanto and education (April 5, 2001, in
Arlington, VA), two sets of partners have proven especially
valuable in assisting ESF to carry out various initiatives.
One is Katalin Kovats, the editor of edukado.net, and her
personal
network
of
collaborators.
The other is the group Esperanto@Interreto (E@I), which provided
the technical support for edukado.net and built lernu.net
under the direction of Sonja Petrovic. A third important
group consists of selected instructors and organizers of
NASK.
Teachers, researchers and organizations interested in developing
educational initiatives involving the use of Esperanto are
encouraged to contact ESF for possible assistance.
